Mi práctica es en la investigación interdisciplinaria y aplicada enfocada en cómo crear un mundo más sostenible y justo. Actualmente, trabajo en el Centro del Ambiente, la Comunidad, y la Equidad en American University como investigadora postdoctoral. Ahí, me enfoco en programas desarrollando capacidades y organizando voluntarios en la respuesta de desastres. He trabajado en el equipo de mapeo de cuidado del ambiente (STEW-MAP) en el Servicio Forestal de los Estados Unidos, en el equipo de NYC en The Nature Conservancy, en el laboratorio de ríos tropicales en Florida International University, y en el Program de Amazonía en la WCS. He vivido en varias ciudades de los EEUU y del Perú, y paso mi tiempo explorando pasatiempos nuevos, Pokémon Go, y relajándome con mi pareja y mi gato, Catulus.
I am an interdisciplinary scholar and applied scientist interested in how to create a more sustainable and just world. Currently, I work for the Center of Environment, Community, and Equity at American University as postdoctoral researcher, focused on workforce development and volunteerism in disaster response. I have worked as part of the U.S. Forest Service’s Stewardship Mapping Project, the NY Cities Team at The Nature Conservancy, the Tropical Rivers Lab at Florida International University, and the Amazonía Program at the Wildlife Conservation Society. I have lived in multiple cities in the United States and in Perú, and my free time is consumed by dabbling in new hobbies, Pokémon Go, and guilt-less lounging with my partner and my cat, Catulus.
